Dear Journal, So well its almost the end of my Second semester in college. I can't wait for this semester to end. I want to start working again. This school crap is getting borring and i want to work and make some money again. I am going to miss all the great people I've met in this program over the summer time. First of all theres Mike. Wouldn't really classify him in the "great people" category though. He's alright though but as Martin calls him "a dumb fucker." He's alright I guess but he's the kind of person that demands a lot of attention. Should be fun doing my final project with him. Which brings me to Martin. I think he's a great guy and a good friend. He wants to come to Rez next year. Hope he does. I think we'd get along as roommates quite well and I am really going to miss Colin, my roommate this year. Than theres Shona. Might as well talk about her now since I just mentioned Martin. She has a huge crush on Martin but to shy to tell him. I keep telling her on MSN that I'd tell her and I can almost feel her face turn red and she's in the other Rez building. Than therse Monia. She's really great. Reminds me a lot of Bea. She really likes to play fight with me all the time even though she doesn't stand a chance. Sometimes I think I should feel sorry for her because I beat on her all the time.... Nah. That would mean I'd be being nice to her. Can't have that now can we? Guess theres Sean too. I don't know how much longer he's going to last in this program. He barely passed anything last semester and he said he was going to work harder this semester. His definition of working harder though is skipping the first 4 weeks of one of our classes that he is probably still completely lost in. Probably forgetting someone I wanted to mention but don't really care right now. Might come back an edit it later. Now for friends that our not in my program that I have been meeting and getting to know. Well lets start with Justin. OMG. What a moron. About a month ago now I guess it was he started thinking about buying a car. I told him I know a lot about cars and he was telling me the kind of deals that his "buddies" were offering. Lets just say they weren't really deals of any sort. More or less plastered Justin with a moron light. I could tell they were bad cars and bad prices just by what he was telling me. Didn't need to go look at it to see if it was a bad car or not. First of all a 7 year old Honda Accord with over 400,000km and obvious transmission problems should never even be given a second look unless your looking for any non mechanical part. And a 5 year Hyundai Tiburon with over 200,000km and a bad second gear (it was a standard) is also way out of the question. Obviously both of these cars were driven to the ground. It doesn't take a super genious to figure out bad transmission means bad car to buy. He finally went to a Toyota Dealer and bought a 2003 Toyota Matrix. It's a standard so I agreed that I would teach him how to drive a standard. Stupid me listened to him that he actually knew how to drive. WRONG! Theres bad drivers out there. And then theres Canada's Worst Drivers. This guy can't tell right from left and right way from wrong way. In the 3 weeks he's had this car he's had 4 seperate parking lot incidents 2 of which have caused a few very distinct marks in the front end of his vehicle. I've nominated him for Canada's Worst Drivers, the teleivision show on Discovery, he did pretty bad on the test. I'm just hoping its bad enough to get on the test. It was nice of him to say on camera though that going up a one way street the wrong day, 4 stalls in a half hour driving test, couldn't parallel park, or reverse park, and a close call with a transport truck was a good day for him. I don't go driving with him all the time. He's taking the car out by himself now. All I have to say is Oshawa watch out until College is done. And than Cambridge. I'm sorry. But he's coming to you. Keep your precious BMW's under thick guarded doors. Alright enough about him. On to Colin. He's a great roommate. I really am going to miss this kid next year. He's graduating this year. I don't think I'll ever find a roommate as good as he was. Just wish he didn't wake up at the drop of a feather. lol. Oh well. No body's perfect. Well onto my program in general now I guess. Not doing so well in Layouts class. I just hate doing those damn assignments. JavaScripting is going way better than I thought I'd ever do in it. I have an 86 in it right now. Mike has the same thing in it but I know it would be a lot lower had I not helped him with 2 assignments. Martin isn't doing to well in it. He doesn't get it all. Been trying to help him but I can only help him so far. He's trying to understand everything in to much detail I think. I'm kind of taking it at the point of view where it works leave it the fuck alone and move on. Flash is fun. Not really learning anything new. Mostly a refresher from Rysdale's Multimedia and Animation classes. Good times non the less. Photography is good. I've come to the conclusion though that I don't like black and white photography. I hate not seeing the colours in my prints that I know were there when I first took the damn picture. Presentations class. God don't get me started on this. Donna is just proving she's moron throughout every class. She tells us to be prepared with the technology before she goes and presents. How many hours were trying to figure out the difference between Play and Pause on that VCR today Donna? Holly fuck. We're from the "Thumb Generation" Donna. 95% of teenagers and young adults can have a cell phone picked up and know everything there is to know about it and how to use it in under 5 minutes. Knowing play, pause, and detect video inputs is a hell of a lot easier. Not something you have to keep repeating to us. Well thats enough about that. Guess I'll move on to family now. Dogs and Cat are doing well. Marlowe's getting old though. Don't expect her to be around for to much longer. Going to miss the old girl when we have to put her down. I'll never forget her. Dad broke his leg fairly bad not that long ago. He's full of metal in the leg now. Happened at work on his way back to the car so at least he's getting workers comp. Just that he's driving my mom nuts but 1. Thats a pretty short drive as it is. and 2. He's been doing that for the last 20 years already. Guess my birthday is going to be coming up soon. Going to be the big 2 - 0. Not going to be a teen anymore. Thats disappointing. Going to miss the teenage years. Good times. Especially with the cars. Guess I am going to have to mention Bea in here again. If I don't I'm sure I'd get a good talking too. She's coming up tomorrow night. Well it is 3 in the morning right now so I guess she's coming later tonight. Probably go see a movie Saturday night or something. I want to see Lucky Number Sleven. Martin and a few others want to go see it too but I don't think Bea is to interested in it so I guess we'll just make other plans for it. I have my own digital camera now. Been wanting to get one for awhile actually. I went to Casino Rama for the second a couple weeks ago. Came out 189 dollars ahead. So I bought a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S600. The more I've been using it the more I like it. Takes really good pictures in the day and night and takes really good quality movies too. Came with 32mb internal memory. I know its not much but good enough for now when I can use it on my lap top and put the pictures on that whenever I want. In the summer though I intend to get somthing big for it. Probably a 512mb or 256mb. Depends on how much I'm willing to spend. Well MSN has been quiet for at least an hour and I am having a real hard time keeping my eyes open now. Going to the Tennis courts again today so I guess I should get some sleep. Bye. |
